2015 Microsoft Imagine cup: Team Nigeria Hopes to bring the Cup home after Live Presentation
With smartest global tech students currently battling to win Microsoft Imagine cup in Seattle, Washington, the United States of America , the competition is the world premier technology competition for the smart students.
Watching their live presentation, yesterday, one thing was clear. There were convincing evidences of Team advancing to the final stage.
Meanwhile, Nigerian Team , Lifewatch is made up of four smart students from the Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti, ABUAD-Adeyemo Oluwaseun, Kevin Ahwin, Sobola David and Raymond Obianuju are currently flying Nigeria flag as they prepare to advance for final stage of the showcase.
Speaking to Vanguard after their showcase, communications lead, Microsoft Nigeria noted with optimism that ’’the boys session was apt, informative, educative and of course mind blowing. I think their solution is definitely a contender for the converted title. a that will detect the early stage.
According to him, the Team’s presentation was captivating and instructive to solve asthmatic issues especially in Nigeria and the rest of the world.
For Adebayo Ogundipe, Chief Mentor of the Team, he said with optimism that Nigeria will take cup home.
“We will win. We will advance to the final stage tomorrow. Their showcase was convincing enough for them to win. There were positive signals during their showcase”, he said.
Also speaking with optimism, the spokesperson of Team Nigeria, Raymond Obinaju, said “We are really optimistic about this. And the adoption rate seems to be really promising. With AsthmaVisor, Team LifeWatch seeks to save an estimated 25million people living with asthma in Nigeria, and about 334million people globally.”
The solution, according to the Team will reduce child mortality and minimize the overall fatality of respiratory diseases by providing adequate environmental and physiological supervision for patients.
Nigeria, China, South Korea,, Nepal, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, South Africa, Tunisia, Brasil, Canada,Hungary, Japan, New Zealand, United Kingdom, United States, Cyprus, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, Romania Taiwan, among others are the countries currently participating in the global showcase in Seattle, Washington
